Alex Marriam Celebrates His 11th Birthday in Style at Raleigh Gamer Doc

Gamer Doc video games prides itself on being a dynamic, positive member of the community, and when Alex Marriam held his 11th birthday party at our store at 10251 Little Brier Creek Lane last month, all of his friends kept telling him what a great time they had and what a cool party it was. One of his friends even called him a hero.

The party was such a hit that his mother, Angel, wrote to tell us all about it. In her letter she said, “The kids had an awesome time, the staff was great to us and made sure that the kids were all happy and we were happy as well.

“Alex’s party made him feel like he was in the spotlight, and that he was the center of all the attention, he went on and on all night. Thanks for making him feel that way, he has had it tough for most of 11 years. Our older son has been in treatment for a rare cancer and followed up for the past 10 years and was finally released from all of the doctors last year, so we’ve all had it pretty tough.

“This is our year of normalcy; we get to have holidays, birthday parties and a real vacation possibly! This party was a great start, so many thanks again!”

Alex’s brother Nick was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma cancer when he as six. Gamer Doc® Video Games Announces Area Developers for Virginia

Cliff Brown and Nestor Alvarez Join the Gamer Doc Team

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., March 23, 2010 – Gamer Doc®, the retail video game store franchise that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced the addition of two new Area Developers for Virginia. Cliff Brown and Nestor Alvarez will work together to develop the southern and central areas of Virginia, which include the cities of Charlottesville, Richmond, and Virginia Beach.

“We are pleased to welcome Cliff and Nestor to the Gamer Doc team, and there are some very exciting growth opportunities in their area,” said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. “They have a deep understanding of the video game industry and what Gamer Doc is bringing to the market. After deciding they wanted to go into business as partners, Mr. Brown and Mr. Alvarez evaluated different industries and franchise opportunities, and decided that Gamer Doc offered the business model and growth potential they wanted.
